The compliance check asks nothing about you. You can measure your garden, run the test and read all thirteen conditions without giving a name, an email address or a phone number. Nothing that identifies you is stored for that.
We ask for your details at one point only: when you want the notification letter. A letter to a council has to name a person and a property, so those words have to come from you. We say what each field is for at the moment we ask for it.
We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to advertisers.

Our lawful basis for the letter details is performance of a contract with you — you asked for a document and it cannot be produced without them. For marketing it is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
Three processors, and no one else:
If you accept the cookie banner, Google also receives measurement data about your visit. Decline it and nothing goes to Google; the checker behaves identically either way. Nothing is set before you choose.
A stored record is kept until at least 31 December 2030, the end of the Class 3A window — that permanence is the thing being paid for. Leads and unpaid enquiries are deleted after 24 months without contact. Anonymous check results are kept indefinitely because they identify nobody.
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, or ask for it in a portable form. Reply to any message we have sent you, or write to the address above; we answer within one month.
If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie), Ireland's supervisory authority.
No cookies are set for the checker to work. The only ones we would ever set are Google's advertising and measurement cookies, and only after you press Accept on the banner. Press Decline and none are set — the choice is remembered locally in your own browser, not on our server.
If this notice changes materially we will say so on the checker itself rather than quietly editing this page. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
